My client James Thomas wanted a simple website for his self-employed business venture. As this was a first-time website we decided on a one-page design to convey a summary of the services offered, along with some examples of work carried out.
We chose to add a separate contact page with all the contact points and a form in one convenient place. The form incorporates a document upload facility so that potential clients can attach a sketch or description of the furniture they’re looking to have built.
The result was a simple but classy site, with black, grey and gold colours to represent the quality of the client’s work. These muted tones also allowed the fantastic client-supplied photography to shine.
The modular nature of the site will allow the client to add new pages in the future, if required, making the initial investment in the website better value when compared to traditional fixed-template layout approaches.
The site is performing well and is a first-page result on Google when searching for luxury bespoke fitted furniture. It would be possible to expand this to cover other search terms by enlarging the site, when time and budget allows – making this the ideal approach for a small but growing business.
